Things I Learned This Week
May 19, 2007
Cue theme music… do de de do do da da de
- Why leave the store and go out into the mall when you can eat right in Macy’s?
- Now that Skybus got the “OK“, my dream of going to Columbus, OH from Pease for $10 just got closer to reality.
- When meeting someone, it is easy to pick a place to halfway… apparently if you don’t mind meeting at Dunkin Doughnuts.
- The “Five Second Rule” has been tweaked.
- It is easy to get an operator.
- It is easy to get sucked in looking at other people’s public photos.
- $21 a week doesn’t buy you much.
- If you have 820 calories to waste, a McDonalds Angus burger could be for you.
- You have to be crazy to pay $30-50 to Comcast just to watch a film at home on its opening weekend.
- Groceries are getting expensive.
- Honda is beating Ford’s…
- Sometimes you have to take things into your own hands if you want to bring consistency to your restaurant.
- Lysol was once advertised as a feminine hygiene product.
Next week I was thinking I might print out all the links and make a video where I slowly scan across the print outs all Ken Burns-style while I do a voice over of what I learned.

Ah, but: SkyBus to Colombus, Colombus to Oakland — now we’re talking about something interesting!
