Things I Learned This Week
December 15, 2007
- Coffee is better than napping when driving (yeah, because the cold air will wake you when you have to go to the restroom).
- Buying local produce isn’t always greener.
- Red meat raises lung cancer risk (damn it… don’t tell me what bacon does).
- Eating Mediterranean helps you live longer (nuts for everyone).
- Boston gets Google Street View (see the actual street before you go).
- We need to fast every month for our hearts (I fast when I sleep).
- Stores can’t force you to show ID with your credit card (fight back).
- Getting too little or too much sleep may kill you (you can’t win).
- Waterboarding is just like swimming (I must have missed that day in my swimming class).
- We can now waste more of our money by buying “fashionable” toilet paper (I wonder if there will be a generic version?).
- Stores are going to track where you go via your cell phone (just awesome).
- “w00t” is the word of the year (this is the best someone could come up with?).
- Hillary Clinton’s mom lives with her… the most pointless political commercial to date.
From the This Can’t Turn Out Good Files:
- Honda builds robots that talk to each other (”Kill all humans… who’s with me?”).
