Things I Learned This Week
December 28, 2007
- Your elderly neighbor probably has brain disease (could explain some things… something to look forward to… it’s fun to say “brains”).
- You aren’t living “green” unless your coffin is “green“.
- Booze is good for your leg arteries (booze is awesome).
- NOFA-NH has a cool Google Map of organic farms.
- Scientists might have come up with a nasal spray that may help sleepiness (new parents around the world rejoice… “yea-wwwn”).
- Don’t trust Best Buy’s prices (also don’t trust Geek Squad with the files on your hard drive… but that’s a different link for a different day).
- TXT spamming is on the rise (how much does your company charge to receive a TXT?)
- The analog cellular network is shutting down (probably forgot all about it with your fancy TXTing phone and all).
- Study proves what we already knew, clowns are creepy.
- Coffee is good for kidney cancer (coffee is awesome).
- You got till 2012 to stock up on incandescent light bulbs.
- You can upload videos from your computer to your Tivo.
- You can now use your phone on the “T“ (people in a tight space blabbing on their phones… awesome… “Dude, I’m in a tunnel… way! Yeah, a tunnel… way!”).
From the “You might have not known this” file:
- Don’t buy your music on iTunes, buy it on Amazon instead. It’s not all locked down like iTunes, meaning you can play it on more things.
From the “mmmm” file:
- Telly’s is my current place for pizza (finally good pizza… besides Ken’s). First time I got it, I picked it on my way home… forget waterboarding, driving home from a day of work, starving, and having the car full of the smell of fresh pizza for a half an hour is cruel torture. Note, the bar crowd is kind of interesting.

You ain’t living until you see a man dressed as woman hitting up a drunk townie who just entered the bar… all in Epping.

I’m still not sure she/he was a man. Did you happen to notice an Adam’s apple?
